I admit we were disappointed when we drove up and found Mickey's was not a sit-down restaurant. Nonetheless, we decided to stop in...and we were so glad we did! We each had a clam strip dinner, which came with a HEAPING order of sweet clam strips, french fries, a bowl of clam chowder, and a slice of panini bread. We also ordered a side of onion rings, which were stringy, hand battered, and excellent! Two days later we went back for lunch and I had a clam strip roll (served on a foot-long grilled hot dog roll) and my fiance had 2 chili dogs, which were absolutely delicious! We know of at least one other group that ate here (at our recommendation), and they were not disappointed either! If we're ever back in the Hartford area, you can bet we'll be visiting Mickey's again! Great food at a great price!
