If you appreciate an authentic Italian deli, with an authentic Italian running the place, check out Gian's. Get the proscuitto or coppa sandwiches--its the real thing: the meats are excellent, cut real thin, the way they ought to be. The sandwiches are served on a french roll or foccacia bread, with cheese, mayo and/or mustard, and you can add peppers. It's the real deal.
He also has daily specials, such as ravioli. They are also good.
His sandwiches are very reasonably priced.
If you go during a weekday lunch hour, be prepared to stand in line. Usually it will not take way too long, but you might not be able to sprint in and out.
There are only a few tables here, but one or more are usually open. Most orders are taken to go.
Gian has been here for years and years, and there is good reason for that!
Pros: Good food, Reasonable pricing, Local business
Cons: Can get crowded
