The lobby is very small yet clean. I was greeted by the owner and given a nice rate of $39.99 for a smoking double. This rate includes a free continental breakfast, which pretty much consists of coffee and toast. There are also various jams laid out for you to pick from. Hey, its free, right?
The room itself (#117) was on the ground floor of this 2-story motel and right across the yard from both a Dairy Queen and a Burger King. Quite convenient! I availed myself of a delicious Hot Fudge Sunday and settled in for the night.
The room was spacious with 2 double beds, the usual long 6-drawer dresser that doubled as the TV stand, and a small round table with 2 chairs. The wood was all blonde and the typical motel pictures were hanging on the walls. This bed was actually quite comfortable for a no-tell motel. There were signs that this room had recently been remodeled, with the exception of the bathroom which showed signs of wear.
