Don't go to Loraines Academy if you expect a five star beaty salon. It's not much to look at and the stylists are all wet behind the ears, but at such a great deal, these things are easy to overlook.
I like Loraine's because by giving them my business, I am helping a student stylist. Oh yeah, and because it's really cheap.Loraines allow you to splurge on luxuries that you may not have, like pedicures and manicures at half the price of other salons.
I have never been dissapointed with my haircuts there, and would recommend them to anyone.
PROS: A variety of affordable beauty services!
CONS: Not always open when you may need them (ie Monday nights)
