Thank god for independent coffee shops like Metropolis. It is cozy and hip, with new cutting edge art on the walls every month. And they have a lot going on besides the art: live music, open mics, film screenings, and more. A nice change from Starbucks, they use fair trade coffee and roast in house. Jeff and Tony are friendly and social, always around to greet you. They know most of their customers on a first name basis. By the way, I use sugar in my lattes, but this is the first perfectly made latte that I ever enjoyed without sugar! I can't say enough goodness about Metropolis, I love it there!
