I am here in Philly for a 4-day conference, and I happened to stumble into The Latest Dish. The menu was inventive and interesting, and I was in cloud nine when I tasted my dishes. I ordered the duck spring roll and the grilled tilapia with avocado and beans. THe duck spring rolls were nothing like the same-o spring rolls I've had before, since the tender duck meat and the hoisin sauce gave them a sweet and unconventional kick. As for the grilled tilapia, I've never have a fish fillet that was evenly salted all over. Most of the times when I order fish elsewhere, the middle part is usually blander than the thinner parts or the ends, but this fillet was flavorful every single bite I've had.
Ah, if only I live in Philly...
