Having lived in Germany, my expectations might be a little high, but this was the worst food I've ever paid for in a restaurant, German or not. The food came out cold and congealed, the spaetzle was like dry rubber with canned gravy (COLD!) lumped on it. The only thing remotely edible that I could eat off my plate was very stale rye bread. The service was adequate (we were the waiter's only table, as the restaurant was nearly empty on this Sunday evening), and the beer selection was above average for Nashville. If you go, skip the food and just drink the Gerst beer!
