Prescription glasses do not have to be boring and subdued. That is why I buy my glasses at a little place in town called Eyestyles, Inc. In this place, you are not limited to the same styles you see at most eye glass establishments. Here they have funky, cool, whimsical styles! The prices are high though...I saw an amazing pair for close to $500! That is a little high for me, but most of the other styles are in the $100-200 range. The business is woman-owned and she is very helpful when you have questions.
