I am a sushi snob - first and foremost, but I love a great value. What bums me out about Taste isn't the decor (who cares?) or the food (it's pretty good), it's the service. Friendly, perhaps - in a ""Hurry up and eat and get the hell out so I can fill this table again"" sort of way. I went in recently by myself at sat at the ""bar."" The waitress didn't bring a place setting until after I was served food. She kept reaching over me to pick up dishes that were being handed over the bar. In doing so, she knocked a full bottle of beer (thankfully still capped) into my plate of sushi. She apolgized, but it didn't make up for the now squished maki on my plate. While the sushi is decent and a great value, the service blows. Good for take out only.
