Despite previous problems with bad service and a kitchen unprepared for large meal rushes, Big River has changed dramactically in the last several months. Servers are now polite and prompt, and I know from experience that the managers work very hard to ensure that customers are pleased. The beer is good (if you like microbrews), and the food is of a good quality (if you like heavy, southern-stlye cooking). Big River is also one of the only restaurants I know of that will accomodate large groups, with or without a reservation.
