I got a good rate for Candlewood Suites through Hotwire...I think about $50 per night. It met our needs because we were renovating our home and needed a place to stay nearby for a few days. The rooms are nothing special, but do come with a mini kitchen (stove, microwave, dishes, flatware, etc.). Downstairs there is also a small gym with a TV, and a laundry room with washers and dryers that are free. There is also a small convenience store with snacks and sundries that you can buy on the honor system. This is definitely not a luxurious place to stay by any means, but it is decent. It is also located "remotely," behind the Irvine Medical Center.
