My wife and I go up to Santa Barbara about once a month. We usually stay in Carpenteria. My wife generally doesn't like spicey food, but just for something different, we decided to try this place. We drove up at 2:10 and they close at 2:30. We were treated like people who eat there very day; not rushed at all. I had the Gumbo and red beans and rice combo, and my wife had the hash and eggs. The food was excellent, and very inexpensive. Portions are large. I am not the world's expert on Cajun food, but I would absolutely go here again. It's as good as any Cajun food I've ver eaten, and some of the places have been 3 times as expensive...
Pros: price, service, quality
Cons: busy
