We encountered an extremely dissapointing set of dishes, and a nice, but overwhelmed and overworked wait staff. The pomme frites were nothing more than fries with paprika and did not deserve the publicity they have received. We tried a flavorless unseasoned pasta and a decent duck breast that lacked any serious thought process or creativity. The service was haphazard throughout the evening, and the drinks were expensive (we were even charged $1.75 for a tonic back with our $8.00 grey goose vodka). We were so dissapointed, we did not attempt a dessert. (they did not appear to be special as we saw them at other tables.) Lastly, and what I find most humorous, there were no salt and pepper shakers at the table as if the chef was arrogantly making a statement. We found the cooking to be severely lacking in seasoning, and salt really would have helped.
Pros: nice atmosphere
Cons: uninteresting food, expensive drinks, lackluster service
