Snobbery ALERT! (I've never before written a negative review about anything)... While hosting out of town guests we were early to arrive at 10 Mercer St. for early evening cocktails when the hostess/manager? made it clear we were a hassle to be dealt with. We arrived to their locked door just minutes before they were to open and happily stood in the cold for several minutes before the terribly rude woman opened the door not to let us in but to tell us to COME BACK LATER! Regrettably, we did just that, and were greeted in an equally unfriendly manner again. All tables were empty though we were told we could only sit at a small and uncomfortable corner spot. No Washington wines and our waitress was hurried and rude. They rolled their eyes, they scoffed at our inquiry of beers on tap and possible appetizer suggestions... They were horrible.
Cons: rude staff, uncomfortable, winelist
