I wandered over to the Haight the other day and found a ""new"" cafe (at least it wasn't there last time I was in the Haight about a year ago). I've never been happy with any cafes over in the Haight but this one was excellent. The cafe was clean, roomy, comfortable, and the staff efficient and very nice. The latte I ordered had great flavor, not the typical ""Italian roast"" thing they do in North Beach but kind of complex and very good. The atmosphere was vibrant but not too loud. Instead of the usual tourist trap, the cafe was more geared toward the neighborhood, which I think helped its overall feel. It might even convince me to visit Haight again soon.
