looks like it used to be someone's house that was converted into a restaurant; really quaint and cozy. the food is always good: try the crabcakes, escargot, french onion soup or lobster bisque to start. for the entrees the monkfish with risotto is always tender and moist, and the lobster tail with shrimp is always a good bet. i'm not big on chicken at restaurants (since i can make that at home) and the filet here is decent but not great. the desserts are always great: delicious tarte tatin, creme brulee or the profiteroles are some of the best out there. weekends tend to get pretty busy, so you may have to wait even WITH a reservation, but the payoff is always worth it. wine list is decent and corkage is CHEAP. and as always, Philippe always makes sure your dinner is terrific.
Pros: good food, great prices
Cons: busy on weekends
