One might think that ROUX is the best thing to happen to Portland in years. Not the case. Roux is nothing but a PR monster. The food feel short in every area. The spinach salad- bland, deviled ham-bland and gross, short ribs- bland and boring. The potatoes were crunchy and undercooked. The Julup was gross and I am a big fan of Julups. The service was too attentive. Roux was very expensive for what you get and where oh where is the creole' cajun influence. You don't get to call yourself Creole' just because you have mustard greens and pickled okra(yuck). On the up side of things the banana fritters for dessert were very nice, but not worth the HYPE!!!!!!!! I will not be going back any time soon.
