We've been eating at Fred's since the original location opened in St. Petersburg several years ago. For those of us who actually want to taste the meat in the BBQ...not just "smoke & salt", Fred's is the answer. The meats are delicious & juicy, without being overly wet. Our 2 favorites are the pulled pork and the (get this) corned beef...out of this world!! Fred has some wonderful sides.. not the typical BBQ joint fare: our favorites are the baked beans, the broccoli casserole, the sweet potato souffle, and the corn pudding. (My mouth waters just thinking about it!!)
Pros: reasonably priced, comfortable seating, excellent service
