For a small store, The Happy Cook has a great selection of kitchen gadgets and small appliances. It's staffed by both university students and cooking enthusiasts who are equally helpful. While the layout can be cluttered (rounders packed with merchandise, not much walking room, etc.), it's still a pleasant local shopping experience. I especially like how merchandise is displayed and grouped together. Their prices are on the same level as Williams Sonoma, but not as good as Sur la Table.
