A while ago, my son had TERRIBLE problems with a used vehicle he had just purchased a few weeks prior. He came to my home and the car, AGAIN, stalled and it just wouldn't start. He finally had to call somebody to tow it and he phoned Don's Auto as they were close by at the time.
What a stroke of luck. The owner came out and hooked up his vehicle. He listened to how my son had just purchased it not too long ago...how he had to take it back to "the shop" which was about 55 miles away on so many occassions. My son was so frustrated - plus it was the LAST of his money he'd be giving the owner just to TOW the vehicle.
Yes, they fixed it and my son borrow the money I believe to pay this off. The owner did NOT charge him for the tow. He took ME aside and quietly told me that when a dealer sells a car "as is" -- it doesn't necessarily mean "as is." I won't say what he told me --- but I'll just put that my son got his money back plus some for the repairs WITHOUT having to go to court.
