Mama Roberto's is another one of those restaurants with average-at-best decor but outstanding food. Their biggest claim to fame is their incredible portion sizes - two people could eat for 2-3 days (lunch and dinner) from one meal at Mama Roberto's. Their sauce is very good and sweet, and my brother, a cook and picky eater, declared their chicken alfredo the best he's ever had (and informed all of us non-chefs that his pasta was topped with over a pound of chicken breast). The cannoli at Mama Roberto's is huge, with chunks of chocolate and candied fruit. I always get a canolli to go (it makes no sense to order dessert at the restaurant when you've eaten till you're full but your plate looks untouched). They serve wonderful soft bread and fried pizza dough in a basket before the meal (careful - it's too easy to fill up on that stuff!).
