The setting was the only redeeming quality of this old city french restaurant. Both the calamari and lobster fritter appetizers were nothing short of a disaster. Unfortunately the meal did not improve with the entrees. The pork was so lemoney I felt I was drinking lemonade and I could hardly cut it let alone try to chew it. The duck, along the same lines, was disappointing even in its appearance. While ordered medium-rare - it was both well-done and absolutely devoid of any taste. Thank god, alcohol was ordered with the meal. Unless you are willing to settle for an overpriced, below-average ""trendy"" French restaurant - do not venture past Patou's doors.
