Unfortunately, the owner is the chef! Our first visit to this cute cafe that touts itself as a New Orleans style restaurant proved disastorous with the exception of the nice and friendly waitperson and our neighbors. The food was uneven (the gumbo entree was made up of thick brown gravy and tasteless meats), and the musician for the evening was a no-show. Our neighbors complained that the meals were made up of meats and seafood that have been sitting too long in a freezer. They had frequented the place many times and did say the food was sometimes good--sometimes bad, and that this was the first time the musician didn't show up during their visits.
I would like to see the place succeed as their is tremendous potential to make this spot a tasty and entertaining place, but the owner needs to hire a chef, and step aside into management.
Pros: Cute, good lighting, good service
Cons: uneven food, confirm with musician
