When I worked in NYC I went to Tony for haircuts regularly for last 4 years, and 3 years before that when in college upstate NY. I haven't been back since moving to San Francisco for work. I miss him dearly because I haven't found anyone yet as intuitive and consistent as Tony. He knows how hair falls, and listens to your styling habits and vision. Price is just fine $35 in 2004. I've gotten highlights there before too, and it was fabulous - $75 in 1999. He does get booked and it's usually a good 2 week wait to see him. If he cuts your hair, you'll know he's worth the wait.
Pros: Talented, Inexpensive, 2 Blocks from subway
Cons: Not in Manhattan, Not in SF
