As we passed by on Mass, the blackboard menu listed ""posole"" and ""corn chowder."" That's all it took to get us inside. I was given a sample taste of the corn chowder; that and one look at the prices put us in the seats. And just for ""eating in,"" we got free chips and salsa...a nice perk. But it was the mouth-watering posole (a Mexican meal-in-a-bowl with pork, hominy and other delicious ingredients) and the outstanding slightly spicy corn chowder that made us customers-for-life. The decor is spare and utilitarian, so ""ambiance"" is not the draw, but the food, service and prices are! We don't live in Lawrence, but would definitely recommend this restaurant to ANYONE heading there or already there.
