Any smart consumer knows: if a salesperson makes a promise, you need to get it in writing. That is why I was astounded when after hours of working with the salespeople at Chaplin, and in the final stages of buying a car, they REFUSED to put their promise of 30 day guarantee in writing, saying that I had to trust them (my friends had a good laugh over that one). They admitted that putting a promise they planned to keep in writing cost them nothing, but would make me comfortable - yet would rather lose the sale than do it.
Pros: lots of cars
Cons: , customer service
