This cozy, romantic, well appointed cottage serves up terrific entrees at prices you would expect for this level of cuisine. We started with a very tangy ceasar salad and an apple pecan stilton salad that was loaded with stilton. For our entrees we had the duck breast served with wild mushroom ravioli in a brandy sauce (excellent), and the Marmite Marseillaise fresh combination of seafood similar to bouillabaise. Service was a little slow, but they made up for it by serving us two complimentary glasses of wine. The wine list was limited for wines in the $20 - $30 range, but interesting. For desert we had the nuts & berries, a pistachio cake with raspberry cream cheese frosting which was delicate and delicious. The food and the atmosphere alone will keep patrons coming back to John's.
