Giovanni's is simply the best Italian in the city. We had heard many things about this place but had never been there. It is definately a destination .... the neighborhood is lacking but the food is worth the trip and more. The pasta was outstanding and the service made you feel at home. In fact, the owner stopped by several times to tell us about the food and the history. I have always thought that Detroit lacked at good Italian restaurants.... my view has changed. This restaurant is as good as anywhere I have been.
