Some friends and I ambled into Koko kitchen on a lark about a year ago, and were confronted with some of the best Japanese food on six continents. (Maybe on seven.) My favourites are the miso soup and the vegetable roll; my boyfriend appreciates the rice balls. A number of exciting options exist for meat-eaters and vegetarians alike. The interior dining area has a bit of a stark ambience, so take advantage of the patio in the summer months and enjoy your food al fresco.
Pros: great food, reasonably priced, friendly staff
