Excellent Entrees but skip the sushi. 9/17/2004

The food at Ricksha, while not exciting or flashy, is tasty and satisfying. As a Ricksha customer for over ten years, I've found my favorites to be the Tempura Udon (with a tasty meat-based broth and Tempura that isn't too oily like some places'), and the Salmon Teriyaki (a good-sized serving). If you'd like to try a homestyle Japanese dish, try the Yosenabe, a steaming bowl full of meat and vegetable stew. While the sushi is not great, Ricksha's Tenmaki roll is an acception and makes a tasty first course. The usual Japanese appetizers of pickled cabbage and clear soup are very good also. Ricksha is a nice family restaurant with an atmosphere that, like the food, will make you feel warm and comfortable. Pros: inexpensive, box lunches/dinners, family restaurant Cons: , mediocre nigiri sushi more
