I went here for my anniversary after Spago had lost my reservation. What a fortuitous accident. When we walked in, they had our table set with two tiny, delicate gold boxes - inside, homemade truffles - and a card from the restaurant. The staff was impeccable, intuitive and completely on their game (especially David - he really personalized the evening for us). The food was amazing, but you really have to enjoy rich french foods and a three hour dinner. The foie gras was my favorite. We ordered the tasting menu, which is the way to go. Everything put in front of you is explained in detail, and the chef comes out and personally greets his guests. It was a truly wonderful experience that I'll never forget. At the end of the night, they played our song...obviously a coincidence, but it was all just so perfect.
Pros: excellent service, personal attention, amazing food & wine
