Here's my original review: ""Figs is simply the best B.Y.O.B. in Philly. Even better, it's not overpriced, nor is it difficult to get a table. (Django's should take note.) I can't recommend it highly enough, especially for summertime dining, when its sidewalk tables are ideal. Be sure to get the fig-flavored ice cream for dessert; it's delectable.""
Unfortunately, Figs has slipped considerably. My last time there, I ordered a steak medium rare, and received it medium well. When I complained, the chef sent out a replacement that wasn't even rare--it was raw. Moreover, he was pissy about it: for the rest of our meal, he glared at me from the kitchen (which is in full view of the dining room). Our other food was cooked properly, though not especially well. It's a shame, because Figs used to be extraordinary, and now it's merely mediocre. I don't plan on returning.
Pros: Fairly Priced
