Arrived in Galveston at 5pm on Memorial Day. Went straight to Gaido's for what I had read was the best seafood around. No wait to be seated, but had to wait for server. Ordered the #6, breaded shrimp and scallops with grilled red snapper, $33. When it arrived the first thing that caught my eye was the snapper. It was about 1/4 inch thick and shriveled. It had a spongy texture and was tastless. The breading on the shrimp and scallops was soggy and the shrimp were very thin. The whole thing was served at room temperature. I would guess the meal had been prepared hours earlier. Very disappointed.
