Nova is a rare find in SF. It is a good combination of bar/restaurant. Unpretentious but a nice place, food is delicious, bartenders are friendly and fun. The mac-n-cheese is irresistible, chicken & steak entrees are terrific, spinach salad & asparagus dishes are amazing. The prices are fair & portions are large. There are tvs above the bar if you want to watch a game. The chef is the former chef of Spoon on Polk so if you ever ate there, you know how good the food is. I only wish he would make his tantalizing tuna tartare w/ the heaping pile of wonton chips and the fried chicken and buttermilk biscuits that he made at Spoon. The mash potatos are great & the prawns are as well. Just a wonderful all around place. Go try it & you will become a fan too.
Pros: food, chill place, easy parking, nice bartenders
