I went for a simple brake reline and was told I needed to turn 3 rotors, replace one, replace all the calipers, and have the fluid flushed. $1000! I decided to reline and replace the one rotor myself. $150 in parts. Theres nothing wrong with the calipers, Ford and GM service bulletins make it clear that turning rotors is NOT appropriate unless warping or severe scoring is present, and theres no reason to flush the fluid unless its been exposed to water. Fact is, they recommended a lot of unnecessary work, and at inflated prices. The quoted the rotor at $175 but I paid $50, retail! Theyre paying jobber price. Pads were $80, but I paid $35 retail. The list goes on. Avoid this place.
