For first timers, like me, Empanada is a deep fried flour shell filled with something. There are plenty of meat and vegetarian options, but little or no options for vegans. If you are like me, you may be tempted to get 3 empanadas, but since they are deep fried 2 may fill you. The food comes in a few minutes; so you can always get more later. Each Empanada was priced $2.65. Very good value!
The lady, who was the host (or owner) when I visited, was very pleasant. Suspecting it's my first visit she showed me what an Empanda is and suggested getting 2-3 of them for lunch.
