This is a restaurant that really gets it. The food is exceptional, it walks the line between the old french gaurd and the new school French-American ideal. There is obviously a real passion for the total dining experience at Lumiere, the focus lies on the guest not just the food and the decor like most downtown establishments. I purposely dressed down a bit (jeans and a button down shirt) just to see what kind of reaction I would get, the door staff could not have cared less, there were instantly warm and welcoming(Le Soir take notes). The service was professional, and freindly without being overly so. Be sure to order the scallops, a truly decadent dish. The best part is that Lumiere offers parking to its guests.
