Beat the crowd downstairs and head upstairs. Try and get a table in the small stylistic room overlooking Wisconsin Avenue. The decor is dark and elegant, the book cases on the walls contain inumerable Reader's Digest selections, and the view looking out of the window is great. You can watch a lot of the upbeat Milwaukee crowd walk past as you enjoy dinner.
The menu for late-nighters is fairly limited, keeping with the Irish style. Vegetarians are severely handicapped. The potato wedges are traditional Irish and recommended.
A word of caution. If you want to use the restrooms, during the rush bar hours, be prepared for a long wait since they are very limited.
Pros: Ambience, Room with a view, Potato wedges
Cons: , Busy waiters
