A store that caters to the Goth/cutie in all of us -- thriving in Utah. I give raves for that alone.
The atmosphere is dark and the clientele (not to mention the clerks) are downright scary-looking, and I conspicuously DO NOT fit in with my dowdy plainness, but I can't resist going in anyhow. Someday, I'll have the courage, and possibly the personality, to go uberpunk; in the meantime, I'm just lookin,' and dreamin.'
There is a great selection of shirts on the themes of rock, pop culture and movies (nowhere else will you find Rainbow Brite across from the Grateful Dead).
I love the cases of snarky stickers and pins, and the flashy shoelaces and the sneaky faerie themes. Hot Topic is just fabulous!
Oh, and the clerks may look forbidding, but they are quite thoroughly professional. Give it a shot!
