Located in the West End section of Long Branch, the principal focus of Jack's appears to be on the ""Ale House"" part of the name. The bar does plenty of business and is a popular stop for students from nearby Monmouth University during the school year.
The restaurant side of this business focuses on ribs. Baby backs are good, but not spectacular (let's face it, New Jersey is not known for its background in barbecue.) The rest of the menu is competent and is reasonably priced for the area, making Jack's a plausible neighborhood restaurant. A separate dining room is available for groups, but parking is limited to on street availability.
