As one of the few truly cheap places to eat in Berkeley, this place has a very devoted regular clientele. The family that runs it is incredibly courteous and fast-working, and the food is quite good and varied considering the price (breakfast not as good as lunch fare, though the donuts are brilliant). A no-frills but very friendly ambience makes it kind of like a non-alcoholic Cheer's. They also sell ice cream, cigarettes, lottery tickets and just about anything else you could possibly want, except, alas, liquor.
