I've been going to Lilly's since I was in secondary school, and, without a shadow of a doubt, it's my favorite casual restaurant in Raleigh. If one's looking for a pie in the Neapolitan mold, Lilly's isn't the place to go, but few places in the country challenge it for Californian-style pizzas. The highlight is the soft, thick crust made with honey, but the toppings are also excellent. The salads are commendable, especially the Portabello mushroom salad, which is served warm over spinach. In my experience, the only significant drawback to Lilly's is that finding outdoor seating on weekend nights can be disgustingly difficult.
Pros: Excellent menu, Fresh ingredients, Inexpensive
Cons: Limited seating, Sometimes cold inside
