My husband and I recently went to the Met on Sat night. The ambience was very nice and the live jazz from 8:30-10:30 was wonderful. The service was very pleasant as well. However, the price for the portions you receive is utterly ridiculous! $32 for a tenderloin that couldn't have been more than 5 oz.! $12 for a carpaccio app that was gone in 2 bites! The first cocktail we ordered took forever to get to the table and the food in no way warrents the price. My husband and I are from Seattle and have dined in many fine (expensive) restaurants and we were shocked. The Met in SLC is a far cry from The Met in Seattle. We will definitely think twice before going back.
