Walking into Smitty's is a treat in itself. Wow, what a place. The ambiance of the entryway is terrific. All old brick and wood. Step up to the old bbq and place an order. The dining area, however, was a let down. Sort of 50's diner style.
But the food is what we're here for and they do it right. Just the right amount of seasoning. Know why they don't have sauce...cause they don't need it. Know why the meat is so moist...it's the fat and the fat is where the flavor is. Don't come here on a diet. Ribs were great. Brisket was very moist (extra fatty) and the sausages are to die for. Wish I could comment on the prime rib, but they got a late start cooking it and I couldn't wait another hour. But I'll be back.
