Nice grubby decor, good local band showcase w. something for everyone (jazz on tuesdays, bluegrass on wednesdays, funk etc at the weekend). Beer is good, nice variety of domestics and imports, (try the beer passport - they'll know what you mean), perhaps a little pricey for the effort. Place has bagloads of character, something a lot of State College watering holes could use. Nice mix of students and professors. Give it a try, you'll be a fan for life.
