We did complain to the owner that the service was bad and he was gracious enough to pick up our tab, promising improvement. The circular bar makes it difficult for waitstaff to see everyone, but it wasn't that busy and the guy was standing there, drinking coffee while we were trying to flag him down! Among other things, the bar was cluttered with dirty dishes and ordering a drink was impossible. Happy hour specials last through 7, later than most places, and they have interesting options on the menu. All good. Thinking the bad service was just a fluke, I was surprised to discover a friend had the same disappointing experience and it was with totally different people! It's a new restaurant and has some hurdles to overcome. Don't feel shy about letting Matt know if you were displeased about anything -- they can't improve unless they know what's wrong.
