katsu-ya has to be the best sushi restaurant in los angeles. apart from being a "hole-in-the-wall," everyone is who is anyone dines here. the sushi and sashimi is extremely fresh and the specials and sushi rolls are mouth watering. try the albacore sushi - it melts in your mouth, and if youre a fan of freshwater eel, try the crunchy roll - which has tempura flakes on top of a california freshwater eel roll. definately worth the wait!
Pros: fresh fish, unique sushi rolls
Cons: always busy, long wait
