For a restaurant nominated for so many awards, Tantra did not meet our expectations. Our experience began with a 30+ min. wait for a table for 2 even with reservations. We were pleasantly surprised by the unique decor and ambience of the venue--grass floor and marble waterfall at the entrance and ""kama sutra"" playing at the bar. The music, however, was a bit too loud, making it difficult to hold a conversation without losing your voice. The wait staff was inattentive. Our waiter forgot to read us the specials; he forgot to bring us bread initially and we had to ask twice before getting it. The prawn appetizer was delicious, and the seared tuna and filet mignon were only mildly good. Although the food was decent, it was on the more expensive side. Overall, Tantra had a terrific ambiance and decent food, but it wasn't worth our money.
Pros: ambience, decent food
Cons: expensive, loud, service
