Okay, let's say you go to a restaurant, and it's the first time you've ever been there, what notion would first occur to you if the very first thing you saw upon entering was the hostess, forehead to hat-brim with one of the waiters, deeply engrossed in what is, obviously, a flirtatious, intimate (personal and private) conversation (oral exchange of information), standing right at the hostess station?
After you realize that you're not in a plebian nightclub, that it truly is the restaurant, your party hesitantly steps forward. When the hostess completes her "paragraph" and tears herself away from her "indiscreet" discourse, she acknowledges your presence with a glance. And the hostess whirls around to confront your party. Her facial expression and body language leave no doubt that she is quite perturbed at the interruption.
