I first visited Balboa in November of 2001 on a business trip to LA. I fell in love with the food, despite the service and uncomfortable dining room. I am originally from Chicago and now live in NYC, so I am rather familiar with great steaks and Chef Morales made me the best Bleu cheese crusted 40 day bone-in filet I have ever had!! So, last week I came back to visit and found out the not only is the Chef gone but the food it terrible! They must have not only changed the kitchen staff but the meat company too! Can anyone tell me where I can now find a Chef Morales steak??
